Soil: Book of H(ours)

This work orients body, time, and earth through a sundial that marks sunlight in motion. A dance and spoken word performance traces the rhythms of soil, memory, and seasonal breath. Rooted in the medieval Book of Hours, the accompanying artist book reimagines devotion as ecological attunement. Together, these elements offer a durational meditation on groundedness, cycles, and care.

The work will open with a performance on June 28 (Sat) 4.30pm, featuring participants: Patricia Brace; Bethany Engstrom; Patrick McFarlane; Ruixin Niu; Derek Smith; and Susan Smith.
