Community Engagement

The Parsonage partners with museums, libraries, schools, and not-for-profits to provide free workshops, lectures, and other educational events for the community, both in our galleries and across Maine. We have a special interest in providing educational opportunities for young people in the areas of the arts, ecology, and religious & cultural diversity.

  • Screenings

    Our upstairs gallery frequently hosts short films and video art, including white cube / white wall by G. Roland Biermann.

  • Talks

    Dr. Rosen lectures and conducts artist talks in Maine and around the world. Watch video of recent events at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art & Cove Street Arts.

  • Workshops

    March 1, 8, 15 at 4pm the Parsonage will host workshops in the gallery in collaboration with the Searsport Recreation Department.

  • Resources

    We offer an art lending library for young people, including titles such as A Journey through Art.
