Anne Mourier
Artist Bio
Anne Mourier envisions a softer future rooted in taking care of one another. Her interdisciplinary practice elicits an experience, often employing invisible forces like scent and voice to shift what we associate with strength, power, and beauty. The collective gatherings and acts of service that comprise her performances, installations, and written works spiritualize the senses in order to remind us that what ultimately connects us is immaterial. Mourier’s embrace of things both wild and delicate, and of working intuitively and collaboratively with artisans, invokes the values of the Feminine and its necessary resurgence in our world. Mourier was born in France and splits her time between New York and Venice. She has exhibited widely across the United States and Europe.
