S. Billie Mandle
Artist Bio
S. Billie Mandle is an American artist whose photographic projects are slow, attentive explorations of architecture and landscapes. She has exhibited at the Addison Gallery of American Art (Andover), Garden (Los Angeles), and Syo Gallery (Korea). Her projects have been supported by grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, and her work has been featured in publications such as Aperture, Cabinet, and Wired. Her monograph, Reconciliation, was published in 2020. She received a BA in biology and English from Williams College and an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is an Associate Professor of photography at MassArt.
